GREEN HORNETS FOOTBALL: 15 UNLIMITED LEAGUE
15U Fresh / Soph League.
This league is designed to work with the high schools, providing an alternative place to play in the event 14 & 15 yr old freshmen or sophomores do not make the high school team.
It is also designed for players that may have no desire to pursue the level of high school ball but want to extend their recreational football playing experience.
This league is unique from all others. Season start dates, registration dates, hand out dates are different from other age groups.
More details will be available in late spring.
Participation Guidelines
- 13, 14 and 15 year old 9th and 10th graders are eligible for this league provided they do not turn 16 prior to the end of 2011. No 16 year olds are allowed.
- There is no weight limit.
- There is no minimum play rule.
- THERE IS ONLY ONE TEAM AT THIS LEVEL, TRYOUTS AND CUTS MAY BE NECCESARY!
- REGISTRATION BEGINS LATER THAN ALL OTHER LEAGUES. DATES TBD.
- Practice does not begin until after HS tryouts.
- There are only eight games and first game starts one week later than all other leagues.
- The Green Hornets with the Severna Park High School’s coaching staff will design the offensive and defensive play structure and practice regime to be similar to that of the high school. This will allow a quicker and more expected transition should players plan to continue at the high school level next year.
- High School Green Hornets players must meet the same eligibility requirements as are required by the high school.
- High School Green Hornets players must meet the same eligibility requirements as are required by the high school.
- Severna Park High school coaches will be actively involved with the Green Hornets coaching staff throughout the season.
It is strongly recommended that players interested in trying out for high school, also sign up for the Green Hornets. This gives us better numbers to plan for, as well as secures your possible team placement.
In the event the player makes the high school team, a full refund will be issued by the Hornets organization.
