WELCOME: The GSPAA Girls Lacrosse program is an all volunteer organization. The program is one of the largest in Anne Arundel County. In 2009, the Girls Lacrosse Program had 430 girls participating. The teams ( Pee Wee, Middie and Juniors ) play in the county on Saturdays, Sundays and possibly a game during the week from April to early June. The emphasis is on instruction in a positive and fun environment.

We will hold tryouts for those players who would like to tryout for a JR. "A " team.
Dates: Feb. 27th, 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; Feb. 28th, 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.; Mar. 6th, 10 a.m.-12:30 a.m.
You must attend at least two of the dates listed.!!!

For 2010, we will have a Stingers program for K-2nd grade. Practices will begin in Apr. and will 1-2 days per week ( depending on field availability ) No practices in May ! Games will be Tues. & Thurs. throughout the county. Registration: $85.00

ABOUT: The Green Hornets Girls' Lacrosse Program has the following requirements. Each girl must have a girl's stick and a colored mouthguard - cleats are recommended but not required. Uniforms will be provided. Eye gear is mandatory as of Jan. 2005. Goalies must wear shin guards. Green Hornets will provide those !

TEAMS: The teams are determined by: number of volunteer coaches, parents and player requests, coaches requests and geographic area.
All Pee Wee teams: no divisions for this age group.
Middie teams are placed per coaches requests, ie; A, B, or C division. Jr. teams are placed per coaches requests, ie; A, B or C division. Those interested in trying out for the "A" team need to register with Green Hornets and then email baltig@aol.com with their intent to tryout. Please include grade & position!!

SEASON: Practices begin in early March with games being played from March to early June. There will be a tournament in early March and possibly playoffs in May for the Jrs. Games are played on Saturdays & Sundays with the possibility of a game during the week. Travel is involved since we participate in a county league.

AGE RANGE: Pee Wee: 3rd& 4th Grade
Middie: 5th & 6th Grade
Juniors : 7th & 8th Grade
